Gashmeer Mahajani's father Ravindra Mahajani found dead in his Pune apartment

Ravindra Mahajani, the father of Gashmeer Mahajani, a talented actor known for his role in "Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal," has tragically passed away. At the age of 77, Ravindra was discovered lifeless in his apartment located in the Ambi village, nestled in the Maval taluka near Talegaon Dabhade.

According to Senior Inspector Ranjit Sawant of the Talegaon MIDC police, it is believed that Ravindra Mahajani may have departed from this world three days prior to the distressing discovery. The authorities were prompted to intervene when concerned neighbors raised the alarm about a foul odor coming from Ravindra's flat. Subsequently, the police were compelled to forcibly enter the premises, where they uncovered his lifeless body.

In order to determine the cause of death, the deceased's body was transported to Talegaon Dabhade for a thorough autopsy. It appears that Ravindra had been residing alone in his flat for the past eight months. 

Ravindra Mahajani embarked on his acting journey with his debut performance in the film "Saat Hindustani" back in 1969, captivating audiences with his portrayal of a diligent police inspector. Regarded as the Vinod Khanna of Marathi cinema, Ravindra went on to grace the silver screen with his remarkable talent, making notable appearances in films such as "Aram Haram Ahe," "Lakshmi," "Duniya Kari Salaam," "Gondhalat Gandal," and "Mumbai Chi Faujdaar."

Beyond his contributions to the Marathi film industry, Ravindra Mahajani also explored opportunities in the Gujarati cinema and Bollywood. Notably, he shared the screen with his son, Gashmeer, in the 2019 film "Panipat," directed by the renowned Ashutosh Gowarikar.  

As investigations unfold, the cause of Ravindra Mahajani's untimely demise remains unknown. The mortal remains have been entrusted to the hospital, where a post-mortem examination will shed light on the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate event.
