Barely any SPOILERS..! So don't worry!

"In the name of Robert of the House Baratheon, the first of his name, King of the Andals, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of The Realm, I, Eddard of the House Stark, Lord of Winterfell and Warden of the North sentence you to die."

It sent chills down the spine when we heard Sean Bean (Eddard Stark) saying these lines while beheading a deserter in the first episode of the biggest fantasy drama series of all time, 'Game Of Thrones.' And a news which has sparked millions is..

The wait is over! It has FINALLY arrived in India!

One must be wondering... wait, I have already seen all the seasons of the show and the next season is not up for a telecast before April 24th 2016, then what's the whole coming to India deal?

Well, the show is set to run all the previous five seasons on Star World starting from the 15th February 2016, Monday-Friday 10 pm.

Lets discuss the success of this huge step, where this saga is set to hit millions of screens next month.

First time on TV in India

Technically, this is not really the first time that the show will be airing the episodes on Indian television as it runs on HBO Hits, a limited sourced channel, a branch of HBO, who are the presenters of the show. The show is not only extremely popular and has a humongous fan following, but the book series on which it is based are also a cult. It has always been a question for many, that a show with the nature like that of Game Of Thrones, would it ever make it to the Indian television screen? Wondering why such a question?

Nudity, sex, brutal violence, and ill-treatment of women are the pivotal elements which form the crux of the show.

How impactful can it be?

Of course, the Indian viewers will not see any of the above factors in complete detail in this telecast. The censorship will be deleting the scenes to make it suitable' for the run. Keeping this in mind, one can debate that without these factors, the show will certainly lose its centro plot as there are many scenes of such nature which are instrumental in the stories' development.

Be it Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen's) introduction scene, her development from hating Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo) to falling in love with him after becoming pregnant, I mean how else will the viewers know Daenerys!

The people who haven't seen the series yet (which is certainly less) will be missing this extremely important plot lines on the show.

Nevertheless

But it will not completely hamper the viewing, as there are other elements which will enable the viewer to get the core idea. And one can certainly not ignore the fact, that the mere acceptance of airing this show commercially on Indian television is an amazing feat. The show is running since almost five years now, where the Indian viewers have always resorted to A and B means in order to catch the latest episodes. With this airing, the non-watchers will probably become fans too. I mean, its Game of Thrones, after all!

The importance of the show's crux on television

People who have seen the show, lets take a minute to assume that I haven't followed the show at all and will be watching it freshly when it airs... I will certainly be awed by it.

Watching the grandeur and fantastic locations, hearing the phenomenal dialogues, Peter Dinklage (Tyion Lannister's) exceptional wit, the plotting and betrayal etc will be sufficing enough ingredients to get you glued to the series.

Censor Board Certification

In a stage, where films like Spectre faced cuts involving long' smooches, one can only imagine the kind of cuts Game Of Thrones will face while on air. Some episodes run-time may just decrease about 8-9 minutes from the actual time. The censorship will undoubtedly be strict and particular with it, but as mentioned before, taking this major step of airing this series for the first time on a commercial basis is applaudable.

A Revolution in Indian Television Viewing?

One can term this to be a revolutionary step, as there was a time we use to laugh off the thought of Game of Thrones getting telecast in India. But, we have recently seen some major developments in terms of shows like 'Downtown Abbey' 'American Horror Story' and others already been telecast in India. Also, just as Colors Infinity channel has revolutionized TV viewing by introducing Indian audiences to some brilliant English series, Star World is taking the bold step of airing Game Of Thrones and roaring their position in the global commercial circuit.

A consolation for fans

Yes, I know, it is not REALLY a consolation as such! And I am sure all the avid fans must have the full uncensored episodes with them in their kitty. But, so frequently do we just sit back cribbing about the long wait for the next season to be aired. And, let's admit it as much as we try, watching the episodes is a task as one has to make time to do so.

This telecast is going to a nostalgic journey for the fans, and in fact a chance to narrow out the details which you probably missed out earlier. A good way to wait for the sixth season rather than just sit idle, eh?

So buckle up viewers, you are about to witness the best TV viewing experience, which is an essential criteria after a tough day at work. When the clock strikes 10, you know where to watch and when!! 15th February Is Coming!!

"When you play the Game Of Thrones, you either win or you die!"

LMFAO. This makes me Laugh so hard. Knowing how indian censorboard censors the most ridiculous thing in Indian movies, and throws tantrums over some stuff thats basically nonsense on indian tv,.. this show Game of thrones (which is a seriouslly good show) is going to air and that to at a decent time on an indian channel? Im shocked. I feel like itll be pulled in the matter of a week.

But good luck to it. I personally dont think other than todays generation of young indians, the general indian public will be mature and receptive to the show. Some bollywood movies showing sex scenes are considered garbage and trash... GOT is full of nudity, sex, rape...

Lets see! Im kinda curious to see how this goes.
*Edit*
Ha.. wait so all the scenes showing such "vulgarity" are going to be edited and or deleted? Why show it then if your not keeping the actual content?
I dont know what to make of this.

I'm not sure this is a great idea, that would be taking out so many important details that support the plot.

not from India but like to comment ,there is no point showing GOT if all the scenes will be deleted or blocked ..such a pathetic idea
