After a series of daily soaps portraying strong, independent Indian women, women who have become household names among television viewers, SaharaOne Television brings a new show – Mera Sasural, a serial that aims to capture the hearts of its audience through the journey of two simple girls, Heer and Goldie, in their respective sasurals.
Mera Sasural is a story revolving around a Punjabi family residing in the same house in and how they eventually become two sasurals. The head of the family, Yashpal Khajuria, lives with his wife, two sons and daughter. The main protagonists are Heer and Goldie played by Urmila Kanetkar of Maayka fame and Pooja Joshi, Sanyogita of Prithviraj Chauhan. The girls are a part of different sasurals and the differences in the approach of the two families towards the daughters-in-law is the crux of the story. Life has some hard surprises in store for them and the occurrence of them changes their lives forever.
