FIR registered against Asit Modi, Suhail Ramani & Jatin Bajaj; Investigation underway

The popular television show 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma' on Sony Sab has been embroiled in controversies recently. Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, who left the show, has made serious allegations against producer Asit Modi, executive producer Jatin Bajaj, and operations head Suhail Ramani. Among her allegations, Jennifer has accused Asit Modi of sexual misconduct. The producer and his team have chosen not to comment after issuing one statement.

In a recent development, an FIR has been registered against Asit Modi, Suhail Ramani, and Jatin Bajaj based on Jennifer's complaints, under sections 354 and 509 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The Mumbai police stated that no arrests have been made yet, and the investigation is ongoing. It remains uncertain whether Asit Modi will be summoned by the police to provide his statement. Jennifer expressed her relief that the case has finally been registered and mentioned her visit to the police station, stating that her persistence has paid off.

During an interview with Etimes, Jennifer revealed that Asit Modi was using the allegations as a means to delay and distort the truth. She asserted having evidence to support her claims and vowed to prove it in court.

Attempts to obtain comments from Jatin Bajaj and Suhail Ramani were unsuccessful.
