Filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia’s niece had a tragic experience while traveling in the Indian Railways, as she was allegedly harassed by four drunk men on the train.
Tigmanshu had taken to Twitter to seek help stating the issue and complained that the railways’ helpline numbers weren’t responding. “My niece is traveling in udyan express to Banglore berth B3 she is being harassed by four drunk boys no helpline numbers are responding and she is scared can someone help” he wrote in a tweet.
Soon after, many netizens dropped in their comments and tagged the various social media handles of the Railways, asking for help.
The filmmaker later posted another tweet, thanking the people for their support and informed that while the helpline numbers did not work, some cops came to his niece’s rescue and helped her. “Thank you all for responding I am really great full no help line numbers worked but eventually like in india Jugaad kiya and cops came she is safe now thanks again guys.”
In another tweet, he thanked the police department for the immediate help, however, he continued that none of the helpline numbers worked. “I want to thank the police and the concerned department for responding quickly but I would still say that the helpline numbers were of no use thank you all for the support from the bottom of my heart” Dhulia wrote on Twitter.
