The awards season has started and with it returns the debate whether they are genuine or rigged. Actor-director Farhan Akhtar believes attending an award function is a proof that you do believe in their authenticity.

"When you attend awards every year, it is proof enough that you do believe in the people who are in the jury or the audience. So I attend with the belief that it is a fair system. If I didn't, I would have not attended," the 38-year-old said at an event here.

Farhan's directorial venture "Don 2: The King is Back" and his sister Zoaya's "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara" are in the fray for the Filmare Best Film award. Farhan produced both "Don 2" as well as "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara".

Buttering up god is not enough, says Hrithik

Actor Hrithik Roshan, whose "Agneepath(2012)" is coming out next week, believes that seeking divine intervention before a big release is important, but insists that this alone is not enough to make a film successful.

"Before the release of my father's films, I go to Shirdi. I have been to Vaishno Devi once or twice. But I have realised that buttering up god on just one day is not enough. It is important to make an honest effort every single day of your life and that itself is enough to please the gods," the 38-year-old actor said at a function here.

"Agneepath", remake of the Amitabh Bachchan-starrer of the same name, is slated to release Jan 26 and stars Sanjay Dutt as the main villain, and Priyanka Chopra as the leading lady. Rishi Kapoor also features in an important role in the movie, produced by Karan Johar and directed by debutant Karan Malhotra.

He was seen in a negative role in "7 Khoon Maaf" as well as recently released "Players".

His next films are "Shortcut Romeo" with Amisha Patel and "Pocket Maar".
