Dus 2 in the Works

The sequel to Dus (2005) is all set to be put into action. News has it that this time the director will be Samir Karnik and not Anubhav Sinha. The talk started during the timeof Yamla Pagla Deewana when Nitin Manmohan, the producer, went on a lookout for a director. Karnik came into the picture as he was the director of Yamla Pagla Deewana. Apparently, upon hearing Nitin wonder aloud about how the story of Dus could proceed, Karnik had an interesting idea to continue the story within a short five minutes!

With that fast of a response, there is no doubt that he got selected to be the director of the sequel for the quite successful Dus. Karnik has confirmed the news as well.

He further mentioned that there will be a strong effort to keep the original case in the sequel as well. He is a strong believer that films loose their charm if the cast keeps changing. A different cast would create a disjoint in the continuity of the plot and characterization, making for a bad 'sequel'.

Dus included Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Zayed Khan, Pankaj Kapoor and Shilpa Shetty. 

All the other details are yet to be finalized considering that Nitin is busy with Char Din Ki Chandni at the moment.
