Wajid’s Last Words to Mika Singh

The entire Bollywood fraternity is in shock with the news of music composer Wajid Khan’s demise. Wajid, one half of the popular musical duo Sajid-Wajid was battling with kidney-related issues and was put on a ventilator for the past couple of days. He succumbed to kidney complications and passed away on Monday morning at the age of 42.

Wajid had also contacted coronavirus which further deteriorated his health.

 His brother and composer Sajid Khan told ABP News that “Wajid was hospitalised few days ago at Surana Hospital, Chembur and though he was Covid 19 positive he died of a fatal heart attack.”

Wajid’s last rites are taking place at the Versova burial ground, where late actor Irrfan Khan’s funeral took place. While Wajid’s family, friends and fans are heartbroken and shocked over his unfortunate loss, an audio clip of the late singer with Mika Singh is going viral.

Wajid’s last words to Mika Singh in the audio message will surely leave you teary-eyed. In the audio clip, Wajid sounds tired and says that the operation is done and he hopes to get better soon. He repetitively asks Mika to pray for his speedy recovery and hopes to resume work as fast as possible. He further thanked the singer for his love, concern and support. His last words were: ‘Dua Karein Mere Liye’

Mika Singh also took to social media to share a few pictures with Wajid and mourned his death in a heartfelt post. He wrote: “Very sad news for us all.. the most talented Singer and Composer who has given so many hits to the industry my big brother @thesajidwajid just left us ..May Allah bless his soul, Rest in peace. Love you always and miss you brother. Your music is evergreen..Such a huge loss to the Bollywood industry.”

Singer Salim Merchant was the first one to confirm his death and told PTI “He had multiple issues. He had a kidney issue and had a transplant a while ago. But recently he got to know about kidney infection... He was on the ventilator for the last four days, after his situation started getting worse. Kidney infection was the beginning and then he got critical.” 

Wajid made his debut as music director with Salman Khan’s Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya. He further went on to croon many songs for the actor in movies like Hello Brother, Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge, Garv, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Partner, God Tussi Great Ho, Wanted, Main Aurr Mrs Khanna, Veer and Dabangg series.

Some of Wajid’s popular songs include Soni De Nakhre, Jalwa, Hud Hud Dabangg and Chinta Ta Ta Chita Chita. 

Wajid’s last work was also for his godfather Salman Khan for the song ‘Bhat Bhai’ that was released on Eid a few days ago.
