'Dream come true': Mohit Malik expresses excitement on Bollywood debut with Abhishek Kapoor's Aazad

Actor Mohit Malik is gearing up to make his mark on the big screen with his highly anticipated film debut in Azaad. Known for delivering compelling performances on the small screen, Mohit is ready to surprise audiences by taking on the challenging role of an antagonist in this action-adventure period.

On playing a dark and layered character in the film, Mohit sees this project as an exciting opportunity to explore new creative horizons. Sharing his thoughts on this milestone, Mohit says, “This is a dream come true. I’m thrilled to debut with a film as grand as Azaad, directed by the brilliant Abhishek sir (Kapoor). His films like Kai Po Che! and Rock On!! have inspired me, and working with him was on my bucket list. The experience of collaborating with such a talented team was incredible, and I couldn’t be happier to kick off 2025 with a project of this magnitude.”

Mohit has earned him widespread acclaim for his stint in television shows like Doli Armaano Ki, Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala, Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si and more. The actor has essayed a negative character in one of his television shows earlier too.

For the uninfomed, Mohit's upcoming film Azaad is set in the 1920s and is a high-octane action adventure that promises to transport viewers to an era of rebellion and bravery. Directed by Abhishek Kapoor and produced by RSVP and Guy in the Sky Pictures, the film introduces newcomers Aaman Devgan and Rasha Thadani while also featuring Bollywood stalwart Ajay Devgn in a mysterious key role. Diana Penty joins the stellar ensemble cast, further elevating the anticipation surrounding the movie.
