'Dr. Bhanumati on Duty' actress bags another show!

The upcoming episode of Savdhaan India - India Fights Back, is all set to welcome Dr. Bhanumati on Duty actress on board.

We are talking about Jhumma Mitra who has been part of various SAB TV shows. She will now be seen in Life OK's crime-based episodic show.

On contacting the actress, she said "I play the negative lead in the Bihar based story. It is a family drama, where the Chachi is jealous of her topper neice, since her own son is bad at studies. It hampers her reputation in the society and people talk behind her back which makes her do something drastic to get the girl into trouble so that she is forced to quit her studies and gets ridiculed in the society."

Further talking about the story Jhumma Mitra adds, "It is indeed a sad but true story. Our society still is not happy with the development and success of the girl child. It is the first time I play an out and out negative character and it was very emotionally draining. This character was different from the regular comedies that I've done."

Veteran actress Phalguni Pareikh will be seen playing Jhumma Mitra's elder sister-in-law and mother of the teenage girl in the show.
