Colors TV show 'Doree', starring Amar Upadhyay, Priyanshi Yadav, and Sreejita De, is gearing up for a 14 year leap. Doree, now a strong woman, vows to protect the infant Shubhi she rescues, despite facing societal judgment and the ruthless Rajnandini, who despises her community.

Set in Varanasi, the second season of 'Doree' follows 22-year-old Doree as she aims to elevate the Bunkars to respected artists with her brand ‘Kaashi-Kala’. Blending tradition and modernity in her saree designs, she plans to go digital for better profits to support Shubhi’s education. However, she faces fierce opposition from Rajnandini, who seeks to maintain her power and crush Doree's aspirations.

I'm honoured to be offered the opportunity to portray the endearing Doree in the second chapter of Doree, a show loved by many. Doree’s journey of adopting an orphan is a classic example of fate repeating itself, and stepping into her shoes feels like a huge responsibility. What makes this role unique is that Doree transforms from being a foster daughter to a foster mother, a beautiful arc that highlights to her immense growth. She’s courageous enough to take on the world as a single working mother in a society that is quick to judge. I admire Doree for her guts to fight against all odds – to elevate the weavers as artists, to claim her rightful place in business, and to secure her daughter's entitlement. Here’s hoping that the second edition of this beloved show garners the same amount of love as its first season if not more

Revisiting Ganga Prasad feels like reconnecting with an old friend who has come a long way, and this time, he’s not just a father – he’s a proud father of Doree, who has grown into a strong, single working mother. The love and warmth the show has received from the audience truly moves me, and it’s been heartwarming to witness how Doree’s journey has touched so many lives. In this second chapter that highlights bonds formed by love, both Ganga Prasad and Doree have evolved, and I am excited to see how their story continues to inspire and connect with audiences across the world. There is no way the audience can warm up to the vulnerabilities of this woman and that's what makes portraying her challenging and rewarding.”
