Don't mind playing mother if that's a lead role: Parineeta

Actress Parineeta Borthakur, who was last seen onscreen as a mother in TV show "Swaragini", says she only would take up a mother's role again if she is the lead of the show.

Actress Parineeta Borthakur, who was last seen onscreen as a mother in a TV show "Swaragini", says she only would take up a mother's role again if she is the lead of the show.

"After 'Swaragini', I have been called for many shows, but I haven't taken up anything yet, firstly because I had plans to visit Kuwait, and secondly I didn't want to end up playing just a mother to 20-year-old or more," Parineeta said in a statement.

"I don't mind playing a mother again if she is the main lead in the show. So I have my fingers crossed. I am ready to wait for some time good," the 31-year-old added.

"Swaragini", which was aired on Colors, featured Helly Shah, Tejaswi Prakash Wayangankar, Varun Kapoor and Namish Taneja in the lead.

Talking about her Kuwait trip, Parineeta said: "Kuwait was fun. Though I had gone there before, this time it was better, not only because we went for a longer time and saw many things, but the kind of unexpected love I got from people there."

Well she got good role at first...soon that bold lady was turned into a timid one for no reason...

She is beautiful she could have played played sr elder sister role as well...but I loved her acting as shomi

I really love you, and I thought she was too young to play Swaragini's mom when I first saw her on scene, but her acting was very natural and convincing.
At 31 I think she should be given a chance to play lead because she is beautiful and knows her skills.

I don't like her & don't think anyone is going to give her a ''lead'' role unless she changes how she carrier herself & glam up. If you know what I mean, she isn't in the genre of lead actress. She can follow Sangeeta Kapoor, Devika's chachi Rekha in Kalash. She carries herself as a young actress and plays Naina's brother's wife in Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil, much younger role than Rekha Kalash role.
She unnecessarily asks for important role. I remember because she wanted important track, the CVs introduced the pregnancy track of Sharmishtee which was an utter disgrace considering the fact that she already had 2 daughters and married.
