Donal Bisht: With Time I Will Get a Better Understanding of My Character (Happy) in Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji!

Star Plus Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji has got a new lead. It was just a few days back when the Star Plus show Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji took a five years leap and introduced a fresh storyline with some new faces for the post leap plot. However, actress Jasmin Bhasin was not happy with the post leap scenes and decided to quit the show. 

Now, the latest buzz is that the makers have found their new leading lady in actress Donal Bisht.

Donal Bisht who was lead of Roop Mard Ka Naya Swaroop will now be the new lead in Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji the Star Plus show.

India Forums got in touch with the actor to know more details:

What made you say yes to the show?

When I was briefed about the character I quite liked it. I haven't played a role this like before who always spreads happiness and  never shows her sadness to others. She is quite a strong girl and as an actor, I want to play a variety of roles as much as I can. Like this one. I am giving my 100% to it. 

Jasmin has already left her mark as Happy. How are you planning to take it ahead?

Each actor comes with a different mindset and a different take to things. She did her bit well. I will try to create an aura of my own. When I read my script I try to create a character in my mind and then implement it on screen. 

Also, what will be your input to the character?

I will try my best to improvise the situations. However, I think it's too early to comment as I haven't started shooting yet. With time I will get a better understanding of my character.
