Didn’t want to play a mother to grown-up actors: Shiju Kataria on quitting Balika Vadhu 2

India Forums was the first one to break the news about generation leap in Colors’ show ‘Balika Vadhu 2’.

The show will soon take a leap and actors Shivangi Joshi, Randeep Rai and Samriddh Bawa have been finalized to play pivotal roles of Anandi, Anand and Jigar respectively.

The first look of Anandi and Anand played by Shivangi and Randeep are out and they make for a good looking couple.

While there are a couple of new entries post leap in the show, actress Shiju Kataria who plays the character of Sejal will be seen quitting the show. Shiju was not comfortable in playing a mother to grown up actors and that’s the reason why she decided to quit the show. The makers are currently working on finding a replacement for Sejal’s character.

In a conversation with TellyChakkar.com, Shiju revealed, “Well, it was my conscious decision on quitting the show as the leap will have older generation coming in and I was not comfortable playing a mother to co-stars who are nearly my age. Even when I picked the character of Sejal initially we were told that the leap is a far long plan. Anandi and Jigar would stay Sherya and Vansh for good 2-3years, but the leap was quite sudden and new characters with a completely different track were introduced. I decided that I wouldn't continue playing Sejal post the leap”.

Shiju has already wrapped up the shoot for the same. Will you miss her in the show?
