Dhadkan Zindaggi Ki's Additi Gupta: We can't keep making shows on things that are unnecessary and & outdated

Dhadkan: Zindaggi Kii will see Additi Gupta return to the screens after a brief period of being away from acting. The actress will be seen playing the role of Dr. Deepika, someone who is determined and is always questioning patriarchy. She is someone who wishes to break stereotypes for women at both work and home. Through her character the daily soap deals with issues related to women in a male-dominated society.

India Forums got in touch with the actress and spoke to her about how stereotypes exist on TV and what does she feel about shows like Dhadkan breaking them. She tells us, ''I think the shows that we are making and the we make, a lot of people have tried experimenting, but it did not get love. We need to change I think, we have changed, but I feel where we can be more natural and realistic, we can't keep making shows on things that are unnecessary and old and outdated.''

She added, ''We can talk about outdated issues that we want to change, and that's what the show is about. When we see films and shows, we watch so that we can related, so one should make those kind of shows. We all need to change.''

The show is will also feature Rohit Purohit in the lead role and is slated to go on air on December 6. Additi is known for her previous stint in shows like 'Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil' and 'Ishqbaaaz'.
