The much awaited Dev Sonakshi wedding happened tonight. And the episode just proved our headline right as it had loads and loads of drama.

The TRPs of Sony TV must surely be at an all-time high today, courtesy the much awaited milan' of Dev (Shaheer Sheikh) and Sonakshi (Erica Frnandes) in 'Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi'. From hatred to friendship to love to separation to marriage, the adorable DevAkshi', as the couple is called by their fans, has come a long way.

What Blew Us Away:

We just have two words to say for this category - EVERY ACTOR.
Right from Dev and Sonakshi, to even Radharaniaka Mamiji (Alka Mogha), all the characters did a fabulous job. And that is what made this particular episode stand out from the many maha episodes one must have seen. With each actor standing out in his/her own glory, this is what made today's episode a very enjoyable watch.

Do we even need to mention this? Dev and Sonakshi's chemistry was very palpable during the 'varmala' ceremony. One could easily feel the love that the duo shared.

In today's episode, one saw many instances where the Dixits, especially Mamiji and Dadibua (Amita Udgata) were knit picky of the Bengali traditions. But the Bose family, stood their ground and did not give in to the pressure of being the 'ladkiwalas', considering the fact that it was pre-decided that the wedding was to happen as per Bengali rituals. And a special mention to Mamaji, who gave more importance to the union of Dev and Sonakshi, than the way it was being carried out.

And last but not the least...

Not to mention that technical details of how the scenes were shot using drones and how the set was elegant and beautiful.

We also actually liked how Ishwari expressed all her hidden frustration of the non-veg food being served in the wedding, when the wedding planners accidentally include fish in the shagun. Ishwari in a disgusted state, asks the servants to wash the entire house and specifies that the kitchen be cleaned twice, right in front of Sonakshi, her brother Sourabh (Alpesh Dhakan) and Elena (Prerna Panwar). Ishwari's outburst comes in the wake of them not having had dinner at Dev's wedding, just because non-veg was provided to Sonakshi's side of the relatives.Even though Dadibua reprimanded her for not taking a stand against non-veg being served at the wedding, Ishwari took a stand at her house and she was bang on, to the point. After all, everyone has their own set of mentalities.

What Blew Us Off:

Mamiji and Dadibua, these two characters in the show are to be depicted as those having a very regressive mentality. But this mentality of their's turned into borderline negativity in today's episode, especially Mamiji's comment to Sona about how she 'successfully completed her journey from Ishwari's nutritionist to her bahu'.

It was pre-decided that the wedding rituals would happen according to Bengali rituals. And the Dixits even agree at the time saying that they would do their part of the rituals at their house. But still, a little bit of compromise from both the families' ends would have been a welcome change for the audience to see especially during the wedding.

The constant running commentary of Radharani and Dadibua about Brahmin culture and values and how girls do not belong to their parent's side of the family anymore after marriage... was totally uncalled for.

AND FINALLY...

We would like to say that this telly wedding, had the right amount of fun, drama and intensity. Where on one side, we saw that phase of Ishwari, who made many adjustments just for the sake of her son's happiness, we also saw her take a stand at the end of the episode.

And keeping aside all the low points, if we were to describe today's episode in one word, all that we would say would be 'PERFECT'.

This pretty much sums up today's episode. Did you guys too like it?
