Deepika Padukone to play an Agent in Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan, to do Action Scenes

Putting an end to the long wait of all fans, Shah Rukh Khan kickstarted the shooting of Pathan last week. 

Besides SRK, Pathan also stars John Abraham as the antagonist and features Deepika Padukone as the female lead. Deepika joined Khan for the film’s shooting a few days ago. 

According to reports, Deepika will be playing an action packed agent in Siddhart Anand’s Pathan. She is also simultaneously working on Shakun Batra's next co starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday.

Spilling details about Deepika’s character in Pathan, a source tells Mumbai Mirror, “It's an intriguing world of agents and Deepika will get to do a lot of action too. Though the title is SRK-centric, Deepika plays an edgy character, who joins Pathan on a mission. It's on the lines of what Katrina Kaif's Zoya was to Salman Khan's Tiger in the Tiger franchise.”

DP and SRK will shoot majority of the scenes of ‘Pathan’ by mid-December and then an international schedule for action scenes is being planned for next year. Meanwhile, John Abraham will play a baddie in the film.

Reports also state that Salman Khan will be seen in a cameo role in Pathan.

Pathan will mark Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback on screen after two years since his last appearance in Aanand L Rai's 2018 film, Zero alongside Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif.
