Actor Deepika Padukone needs no introduction indeed where not only she's one of the most successful actors in Hindi cinema but has now created a global impact in more ways than one. The perfect example of the same was her appearance as a part of the jury at the recently held Cannes Film Festival.
But just like any actor has one film that defines one's career, it can be safe to say that Cocktail was that film for Padukone in her career.
With Cocktail, the actor was brave to do it venturing out of her usual characters she did till then.
Amazingly, Cocktail completes 10 years today and the actor didn't cease to take the moment to talk about how iconic was the role of Veronica for her and how it changed her life.
Talking about the same, Padukone said, "I’ve always believed that while you put a little part of yourself in every character you play, you also carry a part of that character with you forever. And therefore, Veronica will always be one of the most special characters I’ve played on screen; one that changed a lot for me professionally and impacted me personally."
She added that Veronica turned out to be successful and she resonated with millions of fans. "There was something about that character that the audiences empathized with her," added Padukone.
Indeed in many ways, Cocktail was the path to her shift in movie choices and success followed with massive successes like Ram Leela, Bajirao Mastani, Piku, Padmaavat and others.
When it comes to her future engagements, Padukone has plenty lined up ahead with three massive films in the form of Pathaan, Project K and Fighter. She also has the remake of The Intern in her kitty.
