Deepika Padukone & Amitabh Bachchan's 'The Intern' to commence shoot in first quarter of 2024 - REPORT

Bollywood enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the much-awaited collaboration between two powerhouse actors, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan, in the Hindi adaptation of the Hollywood classic, "The Intern." Recent reports suggest that the film, helmed by Badhaai Ho director Amit Sharma, is set to commence its shoot in the first quarter of 2024, following the release of Deepika's action-packed venture, "Fighter," co-starring Hrithik Roshan and Anil Kapoor.

The actress is poised to play a dual role as both producer and actor in "The Intern," marking her second venture as a producer. Despite some delays attributed to 'unavoidable circumstances,' insiders reveal that the film is now gearing up for production early next year. According to sources, the shooting is expected to kick off in January–February 2024, with Deepika joining the first schedule. However, the commencement date for Amitabh Bachchan's scenes remains uncertain.

The adaptation of "The Intern" boasts an intriguing storyline, as depicted in the first look poster shared in 2021. Co-produced by Sunil Kheterpal, the film will see collaboration between Warner Brothers India, Ka Productions, and Azure Entertainment. The screenplay, penned by Akshat Ghildail, promises a unique narrative that captivates the audience. Originally slated for a summer 2022 release, the film faced delays but is now set to captivate audiences with its heartwarming tale.

The duo's on-screen chemistry is anticipated to be a highlight of the film, adding an extra layer of excitement for fans. Deepika Padukone is currently gearing up for her film 'Fighter' wherein she will share screen space with Hrithik Roshan for the first time. 

Meanwhile, Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan will next be seen in 'Kalki 2989 AD', where he will be seen with Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani.
