DD Jalandhar and Zee TV to launch a new show Jai Valmiki!

With shows like Devon ke Dev. Mahadev on Life OK, Bharat Ka Veer Putra - Maharana Pratap on Sony TV, Singhasan Battisi on Sony Pal and a few of upcoming mythological and historical shows like Ashoka on Colors et al, looks like it is the era of historical and mythological shows that has hit the small screens.

Next up that is soon to make it a space on this list is the upcoming show Jai Valmiki.

Our source states, "Jai Valmiki is an upcoming historical-mythological show which is produced by Alankar films and Punjab Government together. The show is a series of 26 episodes and since the budget of the same being too huge, the makers of the show have decided to rope in the faces of leading GECs. The show will launch on DD Jhalandhar and later on Zee TV. The makers are still in talks with Zee TV for the further developments and are yet to sign on the dotted lines. The show will be a weekly show. Giaa Manek too was offered to play the role Shabri for this finite series.  "

Well, a show on saint Valmiki and his life is something our viewers have never witnesses on the small screen and with Zee TV taking this up, it will be like an icing on the cake.
