We all know the famous saying that all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Guess that’s what the creatives of Dill Mill Gayye had in mind as they got the doctors to shed their white coats and dance for Dr. Shashank and Sister Padma’s wedding.
For once, viewers will get to see their favorite doctors out of the usual
doctors’ coats and donning colorful attires shaking a leg to Bollywood ‘s
peppy numbers like 'Yeh Gore Gore Se Chore' from Hum Tum and 'Balle Balle' from
Bride and Prejudice during the Mehendi and Sangeet ceremony...
The heartthrob of millions Karan Singh had a gala time shooting for the sequence as he says, “I am really enjoying shooting for the sequence. It’s fun to dance with the entire unit. And anyways I think this whole song and dance sequence is a great way for all of us doctors to take a break from the hospital’s monotonous routine.”
Pankit Thakkar who plays Dr. Atul was equally excited as he says, “I am from Sister Padma’s side and have applied mehndi to her hands and given her a great look as a bride. I love to dance and my feet start tapping the minute they hear music. I am enjoying myself a lot.” Adding about his lady love Dr. Anjali played by Sunaina Gulia, Pankit says, “When Anjali and I get married I will do everything for her, right from adorning her with jewelry to applying mehndi to her hands, so that she is the most beautiful bride.”
Sources tell us that when the dance sequence was shot, Karan was unable to give time to rehearsals and hence the choreographer could not train him. Speaking about this Karan says, “I am very comfortable with western steps when compared to the typical Indian steps. The other problem was also that there was lack of time, so there was no time to sit and rehearse or I would have managed. Hence, I did the steps that I was comfortable with and everyone followed me.”
Well, this is what we call 'Perfect Timing'!! Great going, Interns!!
