Dalchini lead Maira Dharti Mehra talks about her role, look and more in the show

Actress Maira Dharti Mehra, who carved a place for herself in the hearts of the audience with her performance in the Star Plus show Pandya Store, is back again on the small screens to spread the magic. The actress is currently seen playing the lead role in the Dangal TV show Dalchini.

Spilling beans about her role, Maira says, ''I am playing the character of Dalchini, who is a fantastic cook and a very responsible woman. This character has a lot of emotions and it is diverse in every sense.”

Speaking about her distinct look in the show, Maira says, "I am carrying a look like this for the first time and I am quite excited about it. I am wearing salwar suits for my character and focusing on minute details like black thread around the neck, braided hair and more.”

Lastly, sharing the feedback she has been receiving, Maira says,”The response has been so overwhelming and encouraging. You know, it feels so nice when your hard work gets good appreciation from the audience. I am receiving messages from a lot of people who are loving my character. I am really grateful to everyone for showering so much love on Dalchini and hope that they continue to do so.”

Meanwhile, on the workfront, Maira is popularly known for her acting chops in the Hotstar series Aashiqana. The actress is also known for shows like ‘Pandya Store’, 'Sasuraal Genda Phool 2', 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai', 'Kumkum Bhagya', 'Tera Yaar Hun Mai', 'Shaadi Mubarak', among others.
