A lot has been discussed about Bollywood in the past few months. The reignited discussion about nepotism and conversations around insider vs outsider debate see no end. While the misconception about one needs to be outgoing enough and show their presence at filmy parties to get familiar with people in order to get work has also stirred the matters. Interestingly, some leading actors have always mentioned being reserved and not being a party person.
Now, actor Jaideep Ahlawat who hails from Haryana and is an outsider in this industry during his interaction with ETimes spoke about the same and said that there’s no such need to be visible at these so-called ‘Bollywood parties’.
He said, “When I was new here, I did hear people saying things like it is a must to be a part of film parties if you want to network with industry people.”
Jaideep Ahlawat added, “Meri networking kaam se kaam pe hoti chali aayi hai. One film led to another and the cycle continued. I am happy that people offered me new work looking at my previous performances. Also, there are so many such people jo parties mein nahi jaate, par phir bhi behtareen kaam karte hai.”
For the unversed, Jaideep made his Bollywood debut with Aakrosh in 2010, and went on to be a part of some of the most critically acclaimed and successful films including - Gangs Of Wasseypur, Commando: A One Army man, Raees, Raazi, Vishwaroopam and more. The actor has also created his presence over Web-series as well, and was last seen in Patal Lok
