Colors is the winner in weekend programming!

While it has been decided that there will be no TRP ratings for the next month or so, TAM continues to report the data on a weekly or monthly basis.

Based on the numbers coming in Colors seems to be the winner in the weekend slot for the week 29 (14th July to 20th July) with both Comedy Nights with Kapil and Jhalak Dikhla Jaa overpowering the rest of the shows at the same time slot on other channels.

The numbers for week 29 (14^th July to 20^th July) on Colors - Comedy Nights with Kapil (Sat – Sun 10 pm): averages 2.7 TVRs (2.6) with Sun 2.6 TVRs (2.6) & Sat 2.9 TVRs (2.6) and Jhalak Dikhlaa jaa (Sat – Sun 9 pm): averages 2.5 TVRs (2.3) with Sun 2.4 TVRs (2.5) & Sat 2.7 TVRs (2.1) as compared to - Indian Dancing Superstars (Sat – Sun 9 pm): averages 1.8 TVRs (1.8) with Sun 1.7 TVRs (1.8) & Sat 1.9 TVRs (No TX) on Star Plus, Indian Idol Junior (Sat – Sun 8:30 pm): averages 2.2 TVRs (1.8) with Sun 2.0 TVRs (1.9) & Sat 2.4 TVRs (1.7) on Sony and DID Super Moms (Sat - Sun 9 pm): averages 2.1 TVRs (2.1) with Sun 2.0 TVRs (2.1) & Sat 2.2 TVRs (2.1) on Zee TV.

It is clear that Colors weekend programming has beefed up the channel's rankings due to the channel comedy show, Comedy Nights with Kapil with its nature of content and fun quotient while Jhalak has been scorching the TV screens with its superlative dance performances. They seem to have dispelled competition too and with the grand finales of the shows coming up we will have to wait and watch what happens over the coming weeks.
