Zee Tv's popular show, 'Kumkum Bhagya' has been reigning the TRP charts, ever since the makers introduced the current track of Abhi's (Shabbir Ahluwalia) memory loss drama and Pragya's (Sriti Jha) struggle to win back her love. The track is being loved by the audience and looks like the top spot seems well secured.

However, actor Ankit Mohan, who portrayed the role of Abhi's cousin, Akash is all set to quit the show. The actor has been giving sporadic appearances lately and hasn't actively been a part of the on-going tracks.

According to a leading news daily, the actor has informed the makers about the fact that he doesn't want to continue and is headed for better ventures. Apparently, he is in the last quarter of his notice period and will shoot his last on the 15th of August.

Departing on an amicable note, Ankit mentioned how it has been a really tough decision to quit the show. But, Ankit also promised how he has something huge lined up for the fans and hence took this decision.
