There were a host of rules and regulations rolled out this year, one of them being celebrating 'dry Holi'.

But while most of the industry actors were busy playing with colour, actor Giaa Manek and Rucha Hasabnis decided to bid adieu to the city painted with vibrant colors.

Giaa said, "My ex-costar and friend Rucha Hasabnis and I had been planning a trip out of town from a while now. Since we wanted a color free Holi, we decided to celebrate the festival in peace without noise or air pollution in Nerul. She has a farm house there and we sat by the lake and spent some quality time bonding over conversations."

In elaboration to celebrating a colour and water free Holi, Giaa mentioned, "Well, even if people played Holi with dry colours, they eventually wasted lots water in the shower. In my view, we as actors have a massive fan following and can make a change by asking people to celebrate the festival peacefully. Rucha and I applied a teeka to each other as a part of celebrating the festivity which could be rubbed off with a tissue too."
