Chandrayaan-3: India on the Moon; Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar & others celebrate the historic moment

As India successfully creates history with its 'Chandrayaan 3' landing on the moon at 6:04 pm, it calls for a nationwide celebration! India has become the fourth country to be soft-landing on the lunar surface, after countries like the US, China and Russia. Well, now Bollywood celebrities have joined millions of Indians to celebrate the big win of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).

Akshay Kumar proudly wrote, "A billion hearts saying THANK YOU ISRO. You've made us so proud. Lucky to be watching India make history. India is on the moon; we are over the moon."

Also, Karan Johar thanked the entire team of ISRO, saying, "A historic day for India today as #CHANDRYAAN3 lands on the moon. Thank you to ISRO.IN and the entire team for working with a passion to make us all believe that no dream is too far....even the moon! Jai Hind! 🇮🇳"

While Anupam Kher took to his social media account and shared a heartwarming video, where he witnessed the historic moment with his family and friends. Sharing the same, he wrote, "भारत चाँद पर देशवासियों!!! जय हिन्द! 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳"

Anil Kapoor shared a video of the live landing of Chandrayaan -3 and wrote. "What a brilliant display of Indian Space technology and genius! Congratulations to our brightest minds for adding yet another notch to our belt! @isro.in @chandrayan_3" He further wrote, "We did it  🇮🇳"

Also, Kangana Ranaut shared a beautiful portrait of Sir APJ Abdul Kalam carrying the first Indian rocket piece on his cycle. The quote on the picture read, "Cycle se, Chand tak"

While R Madhavan shared his tears of joy in a heartfelt video. He said, "It's a matter of great pride not just for me but the Indians, the ISRO scientists but the entire world. Congratulations ISRO, I am going to be blabbering today so forgive me today but what an achievement I am so happy and proud."

For the unversed, the Chandrayaan-3 mission was launched on July 14 from Sriharikota. This was India's second attempt to land a spacecraft on the moon and comes less than a week after Russia's Luna-25 mission failed.
