Celina Jaitly Shares The Rare Missed Opportunity of Working With The Legendary Rituparno Ghosh

Actor Celina Jaitly recently made her return to acting after a hiatus where she got married and even become a mother.

As known, she will be seen in Ram Kamal Mukherjee’s short film, Season’s Greetings which is an ode to the legendary filmmaker, Rituparno Ghosh.

However, there was an instance in the past where Jaitly missed a rare opportunity to work with the late legend.

‘ I remember Ritu Da had offered me a script for a film but back then I couldn’t take it because I was pregnant. So I had requested Ritu Da to wait for about 3 months and then we can get things going. Much to my delight and surprise, he agreed and even said that it’s time to actually take care of myself and that he will get back to me after three months. I can’t think of any other director who would actually do that and agree to wait. He is a legend and I regret missing out on the chance to work with him. But all thanks to Ram Kamal, Season’s Greetings is the closest I could get to working with Ritu Da. I am extremely happy," she said.
