Bypass Road Review: A technically disabled film that cannot stand up to your expectations!

Apart from unmatched sequences the film lacks major conviction and the plot tends to jump back and forth which will boggle your mind; read below for more details...

Bypass Road

Bypass road scribbles the story of Vikram Kapoor (Neil Nitin Mukesh) who is being chased by a killer for uncertain reasons.

It's surprising how neophyte filmmakers tend to make the common errors that are already committed. Despite the presence of knowledge to write a mystery/thriller script readily available at a director's disposal, Naman Nitin Mukesh has failed to compose a film that connects the sequences successfully. The film's major flaw is the scripting which consistently puts forth these common errors right in front of you. The sequences from this film resemble the crime thrillers released back in the 90s, right to the mindless confusion to the illogical side of a mysterious killer there's nothing new that the director has tried to achieve.

Bypass road has major flaws in convincing you with the whole scenario being featured in the film. For example, if a character falls from the 2nd floor the common conception would be the death of that character and as we transpire ahead into the film it tends to be more cluttered and confusing.

Another, attempt in which the film lacks conviction is mainly due to the character design. While portraying a mystery thriller the important part is the wickedness of character and while the characters itself are drowning in their own contradictions there's hardly anything that can save them. However, it all boils down to the plot itself. The film's only hope lies in deception and when you try to take that away from a visual aspect it makes no sense at all.

The film's plot is based upon 3 layers and it tends to entangled itself that causes confusion. Imagine watching a cat and mouse chase each other for more than 20 minutes. That's how Neil Nitin Mukesh plays the game of chase with his killer. With poor casting and unnecessary yet mediocre tracks, the Bypass Road loses grip while it tries to take a hold of your conscience. Throughout the film, Adah Sharma has a constant expression that doesn't seem to changes despite the rapid succession of frames.

On the contrary, Neil Nitin Mukesh is quite satisfactory and tolerable, although apart from him none of his parallel characters render believable performances.

In conclusion, the film might be an average considering Naman's debut but what about the latter part? He could have at least justified his actions and informed the audience how didn't Jimmy die!
