#BollyToTelly: 5 comedy flicks we want to see on small screen

Comedy is a genre that literally everyone enjoys. Be it kids, youngsters or adults, people love watching comedy movies and TV shows because they are completely stress free and provide wholesome entertainment. This is the reason why sitcoms have the most audience.

While there are already plenty of good sitcoms on television currently, we thought how amazing it would be to bring popular comedy movie plots to television.

Here we list down popular Bollywood comedies that should be made on television.

ChupKe ChupKe:

Remember Amitabh Bachchan, Sharmila Tagore, Jaya Bachchan and Dharmendra starrer cult classic movie Chupke Chupke? The Hrishikesh Mukherjee directorial is considered one of the best comedy movie of all times. The story revolves around a mischievous botany professor Parimal Tripathi (Dharmendra) who plays a little trick on his brother-in-law Raghav (Om Prakash). Jealous of the high esteem in which his own wife, Sulekha (Sharmila Tagore), holds the other man, Parimal decides to impersonate Raghav's new driver. Laying the groundwork for a series of hilarious misunderstandings, the disguised professor throws doubt on his wife's fidelity and gets his best buddy, Sukumar (Amitabh Bachchan), to help out by impersonating Parimal.

We think this movie's plot will make for a hilarious sitcom.

Andaz Apna Apna:

Now who doesn't like Andaz Apna Apna. The movie features Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Twinkle Khanna and Karishma Kapoor as the leads and is an all time favorite comedy of many of us. Interestingly, this movie was a flop at the Box Office but turned out to be a cult classic. With amazing side characters, hilarious dialogues and a good storyline, this movie would be superhit if made into a TV show. We bet Crime Master Gogo will again be the show stealer.

Chachi 420:

Kamal Hassan totally blew our minds in this comedy flick where he disguises as an old caretaker lady in order to meet his child after getting separated with his wife (Tabu). Kamal as Chachi did such a fabulous job and the movie will make you laugh till your stomach starts hurting. We think this movie will make for a perfect plot for a sitcom. We also want Chupdi Chachi' song in the show.

Kyunki Main Jhoot Nahi Bolta:

A list of comedy movie cannot be complete without including a Govinda flick. Govinda has featured in to a number of comedies that it's tough to decide which one would make a perfect TV show. However, we think Kyunki Main Jhoot Nahi Bolta's plot will work wonders on small screen. The story revolves around Raj who is a lawyer who finds great success through his habit of lying. However, when his son wishes for his father to stop lying, Raj is magically forced to speak the truth and gets into trouble. The movie was produced by ekta Kapoor, and we want it as a TV show. Ekta are you listening?

Pyaar Ka Punchnama:

It's probably one of the most celebrated comedy movie by youngsters of this generation. The movie though is a little misogynistic would make for a great youth based TV show. Youngsters can relate to the characters and it would be a huge hit on small screen. Interestingly, this too was not a hit movie at the Box Office. People love to see shows based on friendship and brotherhood, and this will provide a perfect dose of entertainment for youngsters.
