Shalini Passi, a Delhi-based art and design collector, gained significant public attention in 2024 through her appearance on Netflix's Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives. Known for her high-society lifestyle, Shalini entered the Bigg Boss 18 house, where she was introduced to the luxuries of the controversial reality show.
During a special hotel task in the episode, Shalini was assigned the role of a guest, while the housemates worked as hotel staff. As the task unfolded, Shalini shared insights into her morning routine and admitted that she has a bias towards girls. In a surprising twist, Bigg Boss granted several female contestants, including Eisha Singh, Chum Darang, Sara Arfeen Khan, and Chahat Pandey, an hour of relief from work, as they were considered part of Shalini's "gang."
However, the drama escalated when Shalini was asked if she had watched Bigg Boss before. While having dinner with Vivian Dsena and Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga, Avinash Mishra couldn’t help but take a jab at Shalini Passi. Her remark about not watching television didn’t go unnoticed by Avinash, who, in her absence, criticized her. He said, “Abhi aap yaha par aai hai yeh India ka sabse bada reality show hai, yeh television par aata hai thik hai, if I don’t watch television then why would I be on television?”
Avinash's remark highlighted the irony of Shalini's statement, as it seemed contradictory for someone not interested in television to appear on one of its biggest reality shows.
In the Saturday episode, the housemates were faced with a new guest, Farah Khan, for Weekend Ka Vaar. Farah addressed the issues inside the house, calling out the contestants for targeting Karan Veer Mehra and warning Rajat Dalal about his behavior. She warned him that any further physical altercations could lead to his eviction. The tension inside the house continued to build, keeping viewers on edge.
