It was yesterday that reports about Tina Philip stepping into the shoes of Bhumika Gurung as Meera in Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya 2 first began doing the rounds. Tina, confirmed the same to The Times of India and stated that it is due to health issues that Bhumika had to quit and it was done amicably.
Now, Gurung, in a conversation with the daily said, “I decided to quit the show about two weeks ago, though I wouldn’t like to divulge the reasons for that. I had informed the production house about my decision. We arrived at the solution of me exiting the show. However, I also fell sick around that time and have been diagnosed with typhoid. It’s a very difficult time for me, as it’s taking rather long for me to recover. It’s been almost a week since I last shot with them. The production house has been extremely cooperative and has helped me with every possible solution pertaining to health. I am glad that they waited for me and tried to work things out. But I had already decided on exiting the show. At the same time, my health didn’t permit me to continue working.”
The actress added how she is sad to be leaving the show and has had a fun time on the sets. She mentioned how she has immense respect for everyone and how producer Rajan Shahi (sir) has been supportive. While she has always wanted to work with him, she is glad that she got a chance to do the same and she is sure to work with him again as this is not the first and last project with him.
As for Tina replacing her, she mentioned how she has heard about her and is sure that she will do justice to the role.
