Bhagyashree reflects on her sister-in-law's battle with cancer during pregnancy; launches an initiative

Bhagyashree, known for her impactful roles in Indian cinema, recently took the stage as the chief guest at the army summit held in Mumbai for cancer awareness and cancer screening. In her speech, she shared a deeply personal story about her sister-in-law's battle with cancer while she was on the verge of experiencing a joyful moment in her life. 

In her speech, Bhagyashree said,

"It was a challenging time for my family when my sister-in-law was diagnosed with cancer while being 8 months pregnant. Witnessing the strength and resilience her sister-in-law displayed during this difficult period was commendable but we couldn't save her. And that actually was the reason why I have been working incessantly to spread more awareness about the deadly disease. Which is why I and Himallay ji have joined hands together and we have come up with this initiative called Arbuda a website that bridges the gap between the doctors overseas and patients in India"
