Barsha Chatterjee in Colors’ Next On Child Marriage

After the success of Balika Vadhu, Colors is coming up with yet another show based on child marriage. The channel has collaborated with renowned producers - Shashi Mittal and Sumeet Mittal, who have shows like Yeh Un Dino Ki Baat Hai and Diya Aur Baati Hum to their credits for this new show.

As per previous reports, Pravisht Mishra of Suryaputra Karn fame has been roped to play the male lead while Arina Dey will be seen playing the female lead’s mother. Now, as per a report in Tellychakkar, the makers have locked Ishq Ka Rang Safed fame Barsha Chatterjee to play a pivotal role.

Reports also suggest that the show will be set in a Bengali backdrop and hence, the makers are casting more Bengali actors to make it look natural. 

The storyline will revolve around a young girl who has to marry a grown-up man. Later, with the story progressing ahead, the male lead will make sure that the girl gets proper education and becomes a barrister.
