Barsatein actress Aradhana Sharma says that people need to learn how to balance their goals and their personal life. She adds that she is very careful when it comes to her relationships and makes sure to give them as much importance as she gives her work.

“These days, people are letting their personal relationships hamper at the cost of their dreams, goals and race of life. Talking about myself, I keep my relationships above everything else. That doesn't mean work is not important for me, it is equally important. I am the kind of person who can balance both my personal and professional life. I am not that person for whom work is more important and people are less important. For me, everything is important; everything is a priority. So, I cannot agree with the statement that you'd have to leave one thing to focus on another. If I had a partner, I would understand and make him understand too that there's no need to sacrifice one thing for another,” she says.

Thanks to smartphones and the choice of always being accessible, time management has seriously gone for a toss, she says, adding, “I feel suffocated. Once upon a time I was so addicted to my phone I used to scroll through Instagram continuously. Now, I have this bad habit that if I am alone, I need to watch a film or a song while doing any chores. It's literally a bad habit, and I am trying to overcome it. And mobile addiction is not at all a good thing. We need to balance it.”

However, she doesn’t get much time to chat on WhatsApp, she says. “Honestly, I don't get much time to check WhatsApp due to back-to-back shoots. People are complaining about not replying to them. I was not like this before. Apart from checking my phone as soon as I wake up, I have also developed a habit of listening to songs or watching time while working at home.”

She adds, “Technology has made our life easier and challenging at the same time. My personal life literally gets killed and I have experienced it. When I used to visit my hometown, even there I used to spend most of my time on my phone. I failed to give time to my mother as well, and that thing hurt me. It was more like a turning point for me. After that I never fail to make sure that I give enough time to the people around me and make them feel important.”
