‘Barrister Babu’ definitely had more life: Rishi Khurana on the show going off-air

Ever since Vivan D’sena and Eisha Singh’s show ‘Sirf Tum’s trailer hit the television screens, there has been a speculation regarding which show will be axed. There was apparently a close call between Molkki and Barrister Babu. Well, finally the decision has been taken and the channel has decided to pull the plug off ‘Barrister Babu’.

The news has been quite difficult for the fans to digest as they already speculated the fate of the show. The current track is quite promising with makers bringing the double role twist as Pravisht Mishra (Anirudh) is seen portraying the baddie Batuk Roy Chaudhary in the show who is set to take the revenge from Bondita.

India Forums got in touch with actor Rishi Khurana who plays a prominent character of Trilochan Roy Chaudhary in the show. We asked Rishi about his reaction on learning about the show going off-air. He said, “I was definitely shocked after learning about such a promising show going off-air. Honestly, I feel the show had more life. Having said that I do believe that entertainment industry have its own rule book , and it says that there are no rules (smiles). I am very connected to the team and the characters so it's really sad and disappointing”.

Barrister Babu’ is said to telecast it’s last in the month on November paving way for Vivan and Eisha’s new show ‘Sirf Tum’ which is said to be inspired by Shahid Kapoor’s movie ‘Kabir Singh’.

Barrister Babu’ is produced by Shashi- Sumeet Productions and has a stellar star cast including actors like Anchal Sahu, Pravisht Mishra, Rishi Khurana, Pallavi Mukherjee, Sadiya Siddiqui among others.
