Bappi Lahiri is in ICU: Informs son Bappa Lahiri

In an unfortunate round of events, legendary singer and composer Bappi Lahiri has been admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai after he tested positive for COVID-19. His son, Bappa Lahiri, has shared an update about his father’s health.

Bappa was pursuing a musical career in Los Angeles and flew down to Mumbai after his father’s sudden hospitalisation. He shares that Bappi Da is in the ICU and has been detected with mild Covid symptoms. While speaking to SpotboyE, he informed:

My father is stable now. But he is in the ICU. He was detected with a mild Covid-19 infection on Wednesday. But the reason for concern is, he already has a pulmonary condition. He is in Breach Candy hospital. We can’t meet him. He is under Dr Udwadia’s supervision. We are relieved that he is getting the best care possible.

Bappa expresses his concern as he shares that Bappi Da has never been alone. He says that either his mom or sister Reema have always been there with him.

Last night, Bappi Lahiri’s spokesperson shared an update on his health, in a statement that reads:

"Despite utmost precautions, unfortunately Mr. Bappi Lahiri has tested positive for Covid 19. He is under very good & expert care at the Breach Candy Hospital . Bappi dada’s family requests all those who came in contact with him in the recent past should get themselves tested as a precautionary measure.He seeks blessings & wishes of his fans, friends & everyone from India & abroad. On behalf of Bappi Da, we passing his message to all his well wishers and fans to Stay healthy, stay blessed."
