Bandini to take a leap..

NDTV Imagine's Bandini, produced by Balaji Telefilms went thro' some major high points last week, with the killing of Arjan (Kunal Thakkur) and injury to Dharamraj Mahiavanshi (Ronit Roy).

In the midst of some high voltage drama, Arjan hits DM on his head, leaving him unconscious in a pool of blood. If this was not enough, Arjan tries to kill DM, but at right moment enters Santo, and the next scene they show is of Santo coming out of the room, and Arjan dead in the room.
   
While the drama is on with few in the family trying to save Santo (Aasiya Kazi) from the clutches of law, Maulik (Shardul Pandit) is trying all ways to get Santo behind bars.

However, the buzz is that the story line is moving towards a leap of few years.

According to our source, "The coming episodes will focus on nabbing the killer of Arjan. Ultimately Santo will be put behind bars, and the whole family will spit negativity towards her very existence. The creative team has planned to take a leap of few years at this juncture. However, the duration of the leap has not been decided yet".

When we asked Aasiya Kazi about the leap, she confirmed the news but could not talk further as she was in the middle of a shot.

Leena Jhumani who plays Khemi in the show said, "Yes, it is true that a leap will be taken. However, the number of years has not been decided. I guess it will be somewhere more than five to six years. As of now, the track is focusing on finding the killer of Arjan".

We sent a text message to Ronit Roy, but did not get any reply till we filed the story.

When contacted, Sandiip Sikcand, Creative Director said, "I won't be able to comment on this. You need to ask the channel".

We tried calling Shailja Kejriwal, EVP Content, NDTV Imagine and even sent her a text message, but she remained unavailable.

As per our source, "The leap will possibly be of about 8-9 years. However, a final decision on this has to be taken. The creative team is planning to take the leap sometime in the last week of January or early February. All the existing actors have given their consent to be part of the show post leap".
