Avinesh Rekhi to play the LEAD in Colors’ Next; Deets Inside

Actor Avinesh Rekhi is best known for his role in Star Plus’ Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji. The show was a spin off Diya Aur Baati Hum. However, it couldn't do that well and ran for a year until the makers decided to pull the plug. Now, Avinesh is once again back with a new show.

According to reports, Avinesh is roped for Colors new show Chhoti Sardaarni where he’ll be seen playing the lead role. Also Bollywood actress Anita Raj will be seen in the upcoming show. The makers are in search of a new face for the female lead who’ll play Chhoti Sardaarni’s character.

Actors Sudeep Sahir and Mrunal Jain were also approached the role of the protagonist. Earlier, the show was supposed to release on Colors’ new channel but now the show is set to launch on Colors itself. As the name suggests, the story will be set in a Punjabi background. The show is being produced by director turned Producer, Rajesh Ram Singh under his banner Cockcrow Productions along with Shaika Films.
