Ashi Singh has grown as an actress: Vaishnavi Macdonald of Zee TV show ‘Meet’

Zee TV show ‘Meet’ let’s viewers in on the journey of a spirited young girl from Haryana – Meet, who contrary to popular perception that only a son can be a ghar ka chiraag, is the ghar 'ki' chiraag for her family. Not only is she the sole breadwinner, but also breaks societal rule books of gender roles by serving as a delivery agent and generally being the 'fixer' in any and every situation that typically a guy is expected to be!

The show is produced by Shashi Sumeet Productions and has a stellar star cast including actors like Ashi Singh, Shagun Pandey, Vaishnavi Macdonald, Abha Parmar among others. Actors Vaishnavi, Ashi and Abha had worked together in another popular show ‘Yeh Unn Dino Ki Baat Hai’. The cast reunited with each other in this show.

In a candid chat with Vaishnavi, we asked her about his views on Ashi’s graph as an actor. She said, “Needless to say, she has grown considerable as an actress. There’s a definite growth from the day one. I’ve witnessed her journey right from the first day of shoot for ‘Yeh Unn Dino Ki Baat Hai’ and now when I see her, I really see a graph going upwards. This show is comparatively more challenging for her as she has to get that Haryanvi accent right plus, she has to portray the body language that of a boy which is challenging but she looks quite effortless playing her part. She has gotten into the skin of the character and I really like that about her”.

Talking about her bond with Ashi, Vaishnavi said, “Ashi and I share same work ethics. Like we both believe in doing our bit with passion. So, I really connect her as she is also quite sincere and dedicated towards work. So, it’s great to have co-actors who are passionate and serious about work”.
