Despite her injury, Aruna Irani's indomitable spirit shone through as she lifted everyone's spirits with a rendition of the classic "Haal Kaisa Hai Janaab Ka" from "Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi." The timeless melody, originally sung by Kishore Kumar and Asha Bhosle, added a touch of nostalgia to the moment.
On the professional front, Aruna Irani is making a much-anticipated comeback to Gujarati cinema with her upcoming film, "Jalso." Directed by Rajiv S Ruia, the film boasts a talented ensemble cast, including Hiten Tejwani, Hemang Dave, Bhavin Bhanushali, and Puja Joshi. Her last cinematic outing was the romantic-comedy "Ghudchadi," alongside Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Parth Samthaan, and Khushalii Kumar. The film, a remake of the 2023 Bengali movie "Love Marriage," premiered on JioCinema on August 9, 2024.
Aruna Irani's illustrious career spans over 500 films across Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, and Gujarati cinema, primarily in supporting and character roles. Interestingly, acting wasn't her initial dream—she harbored aspirations of becoming a doctor. However, due to financial constraints, her family couldn't afford to educate all their children, leading her to leave school after the sixth standard and eventually embrace the world of cinema.
