Armaan Kohli's bail plea gets rejected by NDPS court

It seems there is no respite for actor Armaan Kohli at the soonest. Kohli was arrested last year in August after 1.2 gms of cocaine was allegedly seized from his home during a raid. His latest bail plea in the drugs case has been rejected by a special Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) court.

The special court said, “… prima facie it transpires that the accused is well connected with the co-accused pertaining to such illicit trafficking of drugs. It is also observed that the claim that merely small quantity has been seized is of hardly any consequence as the material collected by the prosecution clearly demonstrates the complicity of the accused in the crime. Therefore, considering the involvement of the accused in the alleged offence along with the co-accused, this is not a fit case for grant of bail.” According to a report, apart from the contraband, the prosecution had submitted 'shocking and incriminating material' that was found from Kohli's mobile phone and that there were alleged links to international drug and prostitution cartel in the form of pictures and chats.

The actor has been reportedly lodged at the Arthur Road jail since his arrest last year.

Kohli is best known for the infamously cult film, Jaani Dushman and then appearing as a contestant on Bigg Boss. His last acting appearance continues to be in Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo.
