Apurva Agnihotri, who played the role of Dr. Advait in Anupamaa, managed to create quite an impact with his role on the show. While he did have fans wondering if he will have a track ahead with Anupamaa given the ongoing turn of events, he eventually made an exit from the show. Talking to The Times of India, the actor quipped that his track ending wasn't sudden and he knew what was ahead. He added further how given that the show has been undergoing various changes due to the ongoing situation, he does not have any complaints and he knew his track will be finite.

He added, ''I agree that my portion was going very well, but I guess they're shifting back to the main story. I had a great time shooting for it and that's what matters. I was even told about my last day in advance. So, putting it correctly, I haven't quit the show. Rajan Shahi (producer) had planned my presence for a short stint only and that's over for now."

He further mentioned how his character needs an open-ended track so one does not know if he might come back after some time, but right now, no one knows what is in store. He mentioned how on a call with producer Rajan Shahi, he was told that the response has been amazing.

Earlier, Apurva has done shows like Bidaai and Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi with Rajan Shahi.
