Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli have a special witty request for their friends ahead of the World Cup

With the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 just around the corner, the cricketing world is gearing up for a thrilling sporting extravaganza set to begin on October 5 in India. Ahead of this much-anticipated event, Indian cricket superstar Virat Kohli took to Instagram Stories to share a light-hearted advisory to his friends, with his wife, Anushka Sharma, adding a humorous touch to the message.

In a note shared on Thursday morning, Virat Kohli kindly requested his friends not to approach him for World Cup tickets during the tournament. The message read, "As we approach the World Cup, I would humbly like to let all my friends know to not request me for tickets at all throughout the tournament. Enjoy from your home plz." 

Reposting Virat's note on her own Instagram Story, Anushka Sharma chimed in with her witty remark, saying, "And let me just add… please don't request me to help if your messages get unanswered. Thank you for your understanding." She accompanied her comment with a series of humorous emojis, showcasing the couple's lighthearted approach to the situation.

As the Cricket World Cup 2023 unfolds, a total of 48 matches will be played across ten venues in India. The Indian cricket team will be competing in various cities, including Chennai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Pune, Dharamsala, Lucknow, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad.

In the midst of the World Cup fervor, there have been rumors circulating that Anushka Sharma may be expecting her second child. However, the Bollywood actress has neither confirmed nor denied these speculations, maintaining a sense of mystery. Adding intrigue to the situation, Anushka chose not to pose for photographers, fueling the rumors even further.

Virat Kohli, who had briefly returned to Mumbai to be with his wife Anushka after the warm-up match against England in Guwahati, rejoined the Indian cricket team in Thiruvananthapuram. The team is preparing for their Cricket World Cup 2023 opening match against Australia, scheduled for Sunday.
