Anupamaa: The Kotharis ask Hasmuk to wash Prem's feet

The arrival of the affluent Kothari family in Anupamaa brings unresolved tensions to the surface as Prem's troubled past with them resurfaces. Parag's confrontation forces Anupama to dig deeper, uncovering the hidden connection between Prem and the Kotharis, further straining relationships until an unexpected reconciliation takes place.

Under Moti Baa's guidance, Rahi agrees to marry Prem, believing she can still pursue her dreams after marriage. However, when their horoscopes are matched, shocking revelations emerge. Initially, it seems that Rahi is unsuitable for Prem, but Pandit Ji later clarifies that she is the perfect match, leading the family to finalise the wedding.

Just as things settle, Prem discovers that Moti Baa deceived them by pretending to be unwell. Enraged by this betrayal, he impulsively decides to leave the Kothari household and live independently with Rahi in a separate flat after marriage.

In the upcoming episode of Anupamaa, preparations for Rahi and Prem's wedding commence with the Tilak pooja at the Kothari house. The Shah family arrives and receives a warm welcome from the Kotharis, while Prem eagerly looks forward to meeting Rahi. As the rituals begin, Anupama and Moti Baa ward off the evil eye from Prem, who looks stunning in his traditional attire. However, his excitement quickly fades when Anupama informs him that Rahi cannot attend the pooja due to certain customs.

Upset by this, Prem expresses his disappointment, calling it unfair. Meanwhile, Rahi, feeling left out and alone at home, experiences FOMO and longs to see Prem. Back at the Kothari house, Moti Baa instructs everyone to switch off their phones and hand them over, emphasising that complete focus should be on the pooja. While everyone follows her orders, Radha secretly keeps her phone and discreetly video calls Rahi, allowing her to witness the rituals, especially Prem. Seeing him dressed up for the occasion, Rahi lovingly wards off the evil eye, admiring his appearance.

As the pooja progresses, Moti Baa announces a ritual, stating that according to tradition, the bride's father must wash the groom's feet first. This declaration raises concerns among the Shah family since Rahi's father, Anuj, is absent. To address the situation, Moti Baa suggests that Hasmuk can perform the ritual in Anuj's place, leaving everyone stunned. Shocked by this suggestion, Anupama, Prem, and Rahi simultaneously oppose the idea. However, Moti Baa sternly reminds Prem that not everything can go according to his wishes.

In response, Anupama folds her hands and respectfully asserts that the ritual will proceed as Moti Baa desires. However, she firmly states that since Rahi's father is not present, it will be Rahi's mother who fulfills the tradition, leaving the Kothari family in shock.
