Anupamaa: Prem's mother's search for him crosses paths with Anupama

Anupamaa on Star Plus, featuring Rupali Ganguly, Adrija Roy, Shivam Khajuria, and Spreha Chatterjee, currently explores the entangled lives of Prem, Rahi, and Mahi. During the much-anticipated engagement of Prem and Mahi, the truth about Prem and Rahi's love and sacrifice is revealed when an unexpected danger strikes. This pivotal moment leads to an emotional confession of love between Prem and Rahi, leaving Mahi heartbroken. As the drama unfolds, Rahi decides to leave the crucial choice to Anupama, who ultimately chooses Prem for Rahi, leaving Mahi utterly devastated.

In the upcoming episode of Anupamaa, after settling the chaos, Anupama instructs Rahi to get ready for the temple, as she has arranged a bhandara for the people. When asked, Anupama explains that before Makar Sankranti, people come from distant places to seek blessings from the deity. She shares the belief that prayers on such auspicious days are more likely to be answered. Anupama speaks about how every mother prays for her children's happiness and well-being, trusting that the divine will grant their wishes as long as their desires are pure. With Rahi's return, this day holds even greater significance for Anupama.

At the temple, Anupama, with Rahi's help, starts the bhandara and feeds the people. One of the attendees remarks that whenever Anupama organises a bhandara, the line for food becomes endless. Rahi responds, saying that this is why everyone calls her mother Annapurna.

Meanwhile, Prem's mother arrives at the temple in a car, accompanied by several bodyguards. She steps out of the car barefoot, prompting one of the guards to warn her about the stones on the path. She responds, saying that a mother has come to seek blessings from the mother of the universe for her lost son and that she can walk over anything, even coals, for her son.

As she walks toward the temple, holding a basket filled with offerings on her head, the red chunari from the basket flies off and lands on Anupama. Upon noticing the chunari and the threadwork depiction of a mother and child, she assumes it's a mother's vow and decides to give it to the woman who might be offering it for her child. Prem arrives just as Anupama approaches the lady.

In the end, Mahi seeks to ensure that Anupama sides with her, leaving Anupama caught in a web of conflicting emotions.
