Anupamaa: Mahi wins over Anupama but loses Prem as his bond with Rahi grows

In tonight's episode of Anupamaa, Anupama confronts the Shah family, questioning who truly takes care of them. She passionately defends Mahi, stating that it's unfair for the family to accuse Mahi of being idle. Anupama reveals that she herself had asked Mahi not to shoulder responsibilities, yet Mahi's dedication has been unwavering. She highlights how Mahi stepped in and filled the void after Rahi left, expressing that no one else could have done what Mahi has for her. She even admits that she owes Mahi a debt she could never repay and declares she would sacrifice her life for her if needed.

However, Rahi challenges Anupama, accusing her of being hypocritical. Rahi claims that while Anupama outwardly pretends to care for her, her actions prove that Mahi is her priority. She presses Anupama to reveal whom she would choose between Mahi and Rahi if forced to make a choice.

Under constant pressure from Rahi, Anupama finally names Mahi. Hurt and disillusioned, Rahi remarks that she was foolish to ask this question, as it was evident that Anupama would never choose her. Rahi accuses Anupama of consistently putting others ahead of her. Anupama tries to justify her stance, explaining that Mahi has supported her during times when Rahi and Anuj were absent. However, Rahi refuses to accept her explanations, deciding instead to leave the house for good. Anupama warns her against making impulsive decisions in anger, as they often lead to lifelong regret.

At another moment, Prem starts playing the flute, evoking memories of Anuj in Anupama's mind. Rahi, drawn by the melody, approaches Prem, but he stops playing as he senses her presence. Troubled by her emotions, Rahi asks him to continue, but Prem, slightly annoyed, remarks that orders only apply to work, not to music. Rahi, with a soft tone, clarifies that it isn't an order but a heartfelt request. She shares how Anuj used to play the flute, and hearing Prem's music makes her feel Anuj's presence nearby.

When Prem inquires about her distress, Rahi apologises for her behaviour and expresses gratitude for his patience and understanding. Prem gently advises her to view the situation from Anupama's perspective, but Rahi remains firm in her decision to leave the house. She reveals her intention to repay Anupama's financial assistance before departing and reflects on how suffocated she feels living among the people in the house. She admits that at times, she is overwhelmed by the urge to run away. Tearfully, she confides in Prem about the reason behind her name change, explaining that "Rahi" symbolises someone without a permanent home or family, just a path to follow.

Moved by her vulnerability, Prem wipes her tears and reassures her. Rahi requests his support in returning Anupama's money and asks him to be her companion and guide, just as he is for Anupama. She believes that if Anupama achieved everything she dreamed of with his help, she might also find what she seeks with him by her side.

When Prem teases her about forming friendships for personal gain, Rahi responds with a lighthearted remark, assuring him that her gain wouldn't harm him.

Prem then stands and extends his hand to help her. Rahi accepts his support and stands alongside him. She offers her hand for a handshake, but instead, Prem makes a gesture symbolising friendship. They both share a moment of reconciliation, marking the beginning of a new bond.

As they clasp hands, a feather drifts down and lands on their joined hands. Rahi picks it up and places it on the flute, encouraging Prem to play. While he plays, Rahi rests her head on his shoulder, sharing a serene moment reminiscent of Radha and Krishna's timeless companionship.

Meanwhile, Mahi witnesses their closeness and is taken aback by the scene.

Later, the Shah family prepares a surprise for Ansh. Ansh looks forward to Rahi, Prem, and Anupama joining the celebration, but Anupama informs him that she has to leave for an urgent matter. Rahi questions if she is planning to leave the house, to which Anupama advises the Shahs to maintain peace in her absence. Mahi decides to keep Anupama updated about the family's actions, but Anupama reveals she cannot disclose her destination, hinting at her apprehension about visiting Dwarka again.

Before leaving, Anupama meets Jhanki, entrusting her with the responsibility of taking care of Rahi. Jhanki assures her that she will handle things. Meanwhile, Rahi cynically remarks that Anupama seems obsessed with appearing noble in every situation.
