Anupamaa: Bapuji makes an entry in Mahi and Prem's engagement ceremony

In tonight's episode of Anupamaa, Ansh confronts Prem, questioning what he's doing outside the house. Prem admits he's been wrestling with some troubling questions. Ansh, unfazed by Prem's situation, warns him to prepare for the engagement and avoid hurting Mahi. He firmly states that if Mahi gets hurt because of Prem, he won't forgive him. Prem reassures Ansh, acknowledging the protective instincts of a brother, and asks for his support on this significant day. Prem expresses that he feels isolated and pleads with Ansh to stand by him. Ansh reluctantly agrees to assist.

Meanwhile, Mahi is thrilled about her engagement, radiating excitement as Rahi helps her get ready. While Mahi joyfully declares that the day will officially mark Prem becoming hers, Rahi suppresses her unease and maintains a cheerful demeanour. After draping the dupatta on Mahi, she asks how she looks. At this moment, Anupama enters the room and joins Rahi in admiring Mahi's radiant appearance, offering compliments that boost her spirits. Together, Anupama and Rahi perform a ritual to ward off the evil eye.

However, the mood shifts when Mahi notices Prem's name prominently visible in the mehendi on Rahi's hand. Adding to the tension, the colour of Rahi's mehendi appears deeper and richer than Mahi's own. This realisation leaves Mahi deeply unsettled, and her frustration quickly turns to anger. She confronts Rahi, accusing her of deliberately leaving Prem's name visible in her mehendi. Despite Rahi's attempts to explain her innocence, insisting that she even tried washing it off with soap, Mahi remains unconvinced. Determined to assert her stance, Mahi demands that Rahi remove the name immediately.

In a shocking move, Mahi grabs a marker and uses it to cover Prem's name on Rahi's hand, leaving Anupama stunned. To drive her point home, Mahi sternly instructs Rahi to keep the black ink visible until the mehendi's colour naturally fades, ensuring there is no trace of the name left.

Rahi, hurt and alone, breaks down. Her inner voice questions her tears, reminding her that she chose not to accept Prem's love. Determined not to jeopardise Mahi's happiness, Rahi resolves to focus on celebrating the engagement. She gathers herself and joins the festivities, even dancing during the ceremony.

The Shah family arrives and joins the celebration. Bapuji makes a cheerful return home, and the family prepares to begin the engagement rituals. Anupama announces that Rahi has planned a special ritual for the occasion. Rahi presents a single garland, explaining the trend where couples exchange a single garland instead of separate ones. Pakhi encourages her to carry out the ritual, but Anupama insists that Rahi herself should proceed, leaving her visibly distressed.

Anupama later asks Rahi to bring the engagement rings. Meanwhile, she notices Prem looking uneasy and asks if he is all right. Prem brushes it off, claiming he's just emotional about gaining a new family. Mahi teases that his nerves are due to the prospect of being with her forever. Leela, Hasmuk, and Anupama offer him words of comfort. In the background, Pakhi and Ishani eagerly anticipate a dramatic twist in the love triangle.

Rahi tries to compose herself but finds her thoughts drifting to Prem. She envisions him placing a ring on her finger. Leela begins searching for Rahi, as the rings are still missing. Mahi grows impatient and accuses Rahi of deliberately stalling the engagement. Prem intervenes, asking Mahi to stop overreacting. Anupama decides to investigate the delay herself. She discovers that the ring is stuck on Rahi's finger. Prem steps in to help her remove it, but Anupama becomes suspicious, sensing that something is being hidden from her. She questions Prem, Rahi, and Pari, leaving the situation unresolved.
