Anupama Solanki says being a 'celebrity' comes with 'loss of PRIVACY': 'People want to know everything'

Actress Anupama Solanki, known for her roles in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Nath – Krishna Aur Gauri Ki Kahani, Kuch Reet Jagat Ki Aisi Hai, and Jamuniya, opens up about how celebrities are often misjudged for their actions. She believes that being in the public eye comes with its fair share of misconceptions.

“It happens a lot! Sometimes people think you’re showing attitude when you're just tired or quiet,” she shares. “Once, a fan thought I ignored her at a mall, but honestly, I didn’t even see her! Later, I messaged her and explained. She understood and we laughed it off. So I try to clear the air calmly—no drama!”

Anupama highlights how essential it is to remain grounded and mindful when in public. “The biggest disadvantage is the loss of privacy. Even small things like what I eat, where I go, who I’m with—people want to know everything! And sometimes things get twisted. But I’ve learned to focus on the love more than the noise. That’s what keeps me happy.”

She adds that she has always viewed her role as a celebrity as an opportunity to spread the right message to her fans.

“To be honest, the word ‘celebrity’ sounds big, but for me, it simply means someone who has the power to influence others in a positive way. I don’t see it just as fame,I see it as a chance to inspire. Yes, seeing people rise from nothing and make a name for themselves always inspired me. It gave me hope that with hard work, anything is possible!” she says.

When asked about who has inspired her, Anupama says, “Yes! I’ve always been inspired by Sushmita Sen. Her grace, strength, and the way she carries herself is amazing. She’s confident, independent, and never afraid to speak her truth. She’s beautiful inside out, and that’s what I admire the most.”
