Anil Kapoor & Jackie Shroff all set to reunite, reveals Anees Bazmee

Bollywood veteran actors Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor, who were a hit pair in the 1990s in films like Parinda, Ram Lakhan and others are getting back together for a film to be produced by Subhash Ghai. While the blockbuster hit of the year Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2's director  Anees Bazmee will be scripting this project.

According to reports from Etimes, Anees who is currently on vacation said, “Yes, I am the author of this specific project. I haven't written a movie that I'm not also directing in a long. But as you are aware, a writer is a writer forever. I think that the script level is where movies are genuinely created. The director only needs to carry out what is written down after that..” 

For the unversed, Anees is currently in London and will be travelling to the US. The reports further quoted Anees saying,  "The audience and its tastes and preferences in cinema have changed radically in the last two years. You can’t serve them stale bakwas (nonsense) and expect them to make that trip into movie theatres just because you have lined up stars in a project. Visiting the theatre is like taking an out-of-town trip for the public. Our filmmakers have to understand that the script is the real star now. If you work on that department, everything automatically falls into place.”

Talking about the workfront, Anees Bazmee was also recently in the news for possibly working with Kartik Aaryan and Varun Dhawan.
